This photo was received from Gayle Eckelberg Ibarra. She is requesting more info as to the event, when it was taken, etc. Comnents appreciated.
From Gayle: “On the back it says “Bang Ranch, Ella Eckelberg riding side saddle, Anna Buehner driving buggy”. It’s a horse sale/auction of some sort. I date the photo between 1909 and 1917 by guessing who the young child might be, Richard Buehner, Henry Buehner or Mildred Eckelberg. Help with more information about the event or when the photo would have been taken would be appreciated.”
This message was received from Rose Marie Hoffer Gruidl. She shared photos of Paul Hoffer and the home he built in Werner and his blacksmith shop. Around 1925.
“Several years ago I made a memory book and gave it to the Dunn County Museum. It is the history of the Paul Hoffer family, who came from the Ukraine in 1910 and bulit a home in Werner in 1919. The house is still standing. Paul Hoffer was my grandfather and the Werner blacksmith. All of the Hoffer 9 children went to school there.”
