Thank you to Chris Sweet for an outstanding presentation and demonstration of a high-wheel bicycle at the Wheels O’ Time Museum. His knowledge and passion truly brought history to life that was so memorable for our visitors.

We are especially grateful for the opportunity to learn from his book, A History of Bicycling in Illinois: 160 Years of Booms and Busts, and to see these remarkable bicycles up close and in action.

Events like this are a great reminder that there is always something new to discover at the museum—come visit us and experience history in motion!

Get ready for a SUPER-powered day at Wheels O’ Time Museum!

Join us Saturday, June 20 as Superhero Day brings some legendary heroes (and their incredible rides) to life. Meet Batman and see the Batmobile up close (weather permitting), check out the Ghostbusters’ Ectomobiles, and don’t miss Chief O’Hara’s iconic police car patrolling the scene.

From classic TV and movie icons to larger-than-life surprises, there’s something around every corner.

Costumes are encouraged, so suit up as your favorite superhero, first responder, or create your own. After all, not all heroes wear capes!

Doors open at 10:00 AM. Admission applies and includes all activities and vehicle displays. Start your adventure at reception to check in.

Flag Day is coming up quickly, so join us next Sunday, June 14th, at Wheels O’ Time as we welcome Bradley president James Shadid into our museum! President Shadid will join us for a gripping discussion with visitors on immigration and nationalization. The day will be a great opportunity to reflect on the core values of American history and culture and to engage in an in-depth, thought-provoking conversation with an esteemed individual. Jim and Marian Jordan, both born right here in Peoria, brought laughter to millions during radio’s golden age. Their wit, warmth, and Midwest humor made “Fibber McGee and Molly” one of America’s most beloved shows.

We’re honored to help share their story and keep their hometown spirit alive in our radio exhibit!
