The Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society invites kids to get involved with the War of 1812 bicentennial celebration with a program of their own called “Younger Experience with the War of 1812.”
The program invites children 8 and older to find out if the land around their houses was a part of the War of 1812.
For youths with interests beyond the War of 1812, the Historical Society will help trace the roots of that child’s neighborhood even if they want to check out the last 100 years’ history of their property.
The program runs from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays at the Historical Society museum, located at 4 Center Place.
The program is free and is made possible by a grant from the Baltimore County Police Department.
For more information or to register, call the Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society at 410-284-2331.
