This Week at the Museum:

📖 Tuesday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Story Time – Gather around for an interactive read-aloud filled with engaging characters, creative storytelling, and opportunities for little listeners to join the fun.

⚡ Wednesday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Snap Circuits – Click pieces together to build working circuits while discovering how electricity powers the world around us.

🚀 Thursday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Stomp Rockets – Build, stomp, and launch rockets while experimenting with force, motion, and flight.

👐 Friday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Sensory Exploration – Scoop, pour, squish, and discover through hands-on activities that encourage curiosity and open-ended play.

👻 Saturday: BOO!seum: Monster Masterpieces! Join us for a spooktacular day of Halloween-inspired creativity, hands-on activities, and playful fun!

Our beloved tube slide is officially out of commission! While it's been a favorite for countless little adventurers over the years, we're excited to imagine what could take its place.

And we'd love YOUR ideas! 💜

Would you love to see another slide? A new climbing challenge? An interactive sensory experience? Or something we haven't even dreamed up yet?

🚀 Big ideas, creative experiments, and plenty of hands-on fun await at DCM this week! Join us for a new Daily Program at 10:30am & 1:30pm. Each program lasts approximately 30 minutes, welcomes all ages, and is included with admission (FREE for DCM members!).

This Week at the Museum:

📖 Tuesday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Storytime – Turn the page and discover something new! Enjoy an interactive read-aloud filled with imagination, conversation, and opportunities for little listeners to join in.

🧪 Wednesday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Fizzy Potions – Mix, pour, and watch the bubbles fizz as we explore colorful chemical reactions through hands-on science.

🛠️ Thursday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Rigamajig – Think big and build bigger! Work together to design, construct, and experiment with oversized building materials.

✈️ Friday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Paper Airplanes – Fold, launch, and test your own paper airplane designs while exploring flight, aerodynamics, and motion.

🛰️ Saturday (10:30am & 1:30pm): Soaring Satellites – Blast off into space-inspired engineering as we build and experiment with satellite designs, balance, and motion.

Ellen brings a wealth of experience in museum leadership, education, and community engagement, along with a passion for creating meaningful connections between museums and the communities they serve.

With a background spanning the Minneapolis Institute of Art, American Swedish Institute, Mill City Museum, and most recently, the Lake County Historical Society, Ellen brings fresh perspectives and thoughtful leadership to this exciting new chapter.

Get ready for BOO!seum: Monster Masterpieces!, a not-too-spooky Halloween celebration where silly monsters, colorful creations, and hands-on fun take over the Duluth Children's Museum!

Join us for a day filled with creepy crafts, imaginative art activities, and plenty of opportunities to create your very own monster masterpiece. Costumes are encouraged, creativity is a must, and fun is guaranteed!
