Make a day of it and leave the driving to us... Every Thursday, the North Shore Scenic Railroad heads north from Duluth on our Two Harbors Turn. A full-day adventure along the North Shore to the historic harbor town of Two Harbors.

Enjoy the ride, explore the train, grab a snack or beverage onboard, then step off in Two Harbors with time for lunch, shopping, sightseeing and exploring before boarding the train back to Duluth.

Thursday, August 6th, 2026 is the first scheduled excursion train all the way to Two Harbors this year, and has been themed the "Friendship Train" honoring an excursion our Lake Superior Railroad Museum hosted 50 years ago to date, one of the very first excursions the museum ever hosted.
