NEW ARTIST!
We are so excited that Anne Brandon Ferebee has chosen our Gallery to display the first two in her figurative painting series of the vanishing, iconic mid-century flat top cottages of Southern Shores, NC.
The larger painting is entitled Ocean Boulevard No.1. It depicts the Haserot Cottage. The smaller painting is Ocean Boulevard, No. 2 (Nixon Cottage).

Ferebee is a self-taught painter and photographer living and working in her native Virginia Beach, Virginia. After moving to New York in 1997, she signed with the NYC and Europe-based agency, Graphistock, and later with Corbis Images, where her distinctive photography has been utilized for advertising, book covers, editorial work and CD/DVD/Video film productions. Her work is now represented by Dreamstime.

A dog's love knows no bound, and while every day is dog day, Aug. 26 marks National Dog Day, which celebrates the bond between humans and their dogs, encourages dog ownership of all breeds, mixed and pure and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year.
The holiday was established in 2004 by animal rescue advocate Colleen Paige. The date marks the anniversary of the day her family adopted her first dog from an animal shelter when Paige was 10 years old.
