At the Children’s Museum of Rock County, we pause this Memorial Day to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice allows our community, and especially our children, to grow, learn, and play in freedom. Today, we encourage families to take a moment to reflect, share stories, and help the next generation understand the meaning of this important day.

As we gather with loved ones, we remember that freedom is not free.

From all of us at the Children’s Museum of Rock County, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Whether your child is navigating their first climb or tackling a new challenge, the Continuum Climber is designed to grow with them.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At the Children’s Museum of Rock County, we believe that caring for our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies—especially for children as they grow, learn, and explore the world around them.

Play is powerful. It helps children express emotions, build confidence, manage stress, and connect with others. Every exhibit, every interaction, and every moment of discovery in our museum is an opportunity to support healthy development—socially, emotionally, and mentally.

This month, we encourage families to:
• Make time for play and connection
• Talk openly about feelings
• Practice kindness—with others and yourself

Together, we can help create a community where every child feels safe, supported, and seen.

💚 Let’s make mental health a priority—for our kids and for ourselves.

We’re so excited to give you a first look at one of our upcoming exhibits! 🎉

Introducing the Rock River Rocks Water Table 💧🪨—a hands-on experience inspired by the heart of our community ❤️. This interactive exhibit will mimic the flow of the Rock River and include familiar features that Rock County residents will recognize and love 🏞️.

Kids will be able to explore how water moves 🌊, build and change the river’s path 🛠️, and see how their actions shape the environment—all while connecting to a place they know.

We can’t wait for you to see it (and play in it)! 🤩 Stay tuned for more sneak peeks as we get closer to opening 👀
