It’s harvest season at the Homeplace! As our annual Apple Fest, and Halloween draw near, we’ll be sprucing up the farm. Halloween celebration in rural Tennessee was more focused on harvest and pranks. This is the time period where we see jack o' lanterns go from turnips to pumpkins! Back in the old country, someone calling you “Pumpkin Eater” was meant as an insult. That changed pretty quickly in the colonies where pumpkins were a staple food source. Come for our spicy take on pumpkin spice, and leave with a new appreciation for a gourd that does way more than just look good as a jack-o-lantern!
