"Women at War"
This Hangar Talk will discuss the many roles that women filled during WWII, both as civilians and in the military. Hear from a Living Historian, in uniform, discuss not only Women's history, but Delaware History as well.

The Museum, and Hangar Talk is FREE, Open to the Public.

The AMC Museum Aviation SUMMER CAMP is selling out quickly.

Camps run Mon-Fri for 3 hours per day.
We have a morning session for those 9-11 years old,
and an afternoon session for those 12-15 years old.

The AMC Museum is pleased to announce the
Aviation Summer Camp is back again for 2026.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON WEDNESDAY, 4 MARCH @ 9:00am

You can register online at amcmusem.org, in-person at the AMC Museum, or you can print the form and mail it to Attention: Mike Hurlburt 1301 Heritage Road, Dover DE. 19902 (not recommended as the classes do fill quickly).
*Do not delay – last year’s camps were completely sold out in only 18 days!

The cost for camp this year will be $300 and will include a Flight, T-Shirt, and STEM Kit for the students to take home.

The camp will consist of Half Day classes, 3 hours each.
Morning Sessions, Mon-Fri, 8:30 – 11:30 for those 9 – 11 Years old
Afternoon Sessions, Mon-Fri, 12:30 – 3:30 for those 12-15 Years old

Enrollment is First come – First served and each student is only allowed 1 spot per year.
Siblings in different age groups are allowed to attend class together. It is the parents discretion to determine the appropriate class for the students.

The dates for camp will be as follows:
June 15 – 19
June 22 – 26
July 6 – 10
July 20 – 24
Aug 3 – 7
Aug 17 - 21

EXCITING NEWS!
The AMC Museum now has a Fairchild A-10 aircraft on full public display. Affectionately known as the “Warthog,” the A-10 Thunderbolt II first flew in 1972 and was introduced to the USAF in 1977. Aircraft 79-0088 was assigned to the 175th Wing of the Maryland Air National Guard and served over 45 years with the USAF. It is the first Air Force aircraft specifically designed for close air support of ground forces. The A-10 is one of the most recognizable aircraft ever designed with its rear-mounted twin engines, twin vertical stabilizers and its lethal 30mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling autocannon that can fire at a rate of 3,900 rounds a minute. The A-10 can be used against an array of ground targets, including tanks and armored vehicles.
The museum will be having a ‘Grand Opening’ this spring along with a ‘Hangar Talk’ highlighting its long and prestigious history. Come out to see the A-10 displayed next to the AMC Museum KC-10!
The AMC Museum is located just south of Dover Air Force Base, off DE Rt 9.
We are open to the public Wed – Sun from 9-4 and we are completely free to enjoy.

Museum is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Weather is fantastic, airplanes are open, and the Simulators are running.
C-5A Flight Deck is open today.
Steel Bowls is here to get you re-fueled.
Museum Mobile Store is Open.
And the A-10 'Warthog' is Here!!!
**A-10 is still on the other side of the fence.
--Clearly visible from our fence line and control tower, but not fully accessible yet.

NEW ARRIVAL! The museum has received a Fairchild A-10C Thunderbolt II “Warthog”. The aircraft is currently not on museum grounds but in coming months, the museum team will be working hard to prepare the aircraft for relocation into the museum display area. The A-10 is a remarkable aircraft that represents over 45 years of precision lethality in service with the United States Air Force.
WHY AN A-10 AT THE AMC MUSEUM?
The A-10 allows the museum to expand the public’s knowledge of the impact of air refueling as a force multiplier, greatly enhancing the endurance, range and flexibility of US and allied combat aircraft. It will also provide a valuable perspective of the support the Air Mobility Command (AMC) air refuelers provide each day to the warfighter, highlighting the history of airlift and air refueling of the United States Air Force and the mission of the AMC.
