Come enjoy live, cultural performances, international foods, culture-themed vendor booths, and more at this year's Mosaic Multicultural Festival on September 12th from 11-4 pm at the CAC!

Each year, the CAC brings together local organizations, artists, businesses, and food vendors to provide our community with a taste of the world. It's our way of celebrating the many amazing cultural traditions that enrich our area.

On September 2nd, our annual National Juried Art Show opens. Stop by the CAC gallery from 9 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday to view all of the (very diverse) entries that were selected to compete for cash prizes this year. The exhibit ends on September 29th.

Set a reminder to attend the Opening Reception and Prize Ceremony on Thursday, September 10th from 6-8 pm at the CAC. All of our Opening Receptions are free to attend and include live music, delicious food and drinks, and great company.

One of the best parts of our annual Mosaic Multicultural Festival (coming up on September 12th from 11 am - 4 pm at the CAC) is the slate of cultural performers who donate their time and talent to introduce our community to various cultural art forms.

This year we have seven, local artists who will be joining us:

Today is the LAST FULL DAY to come and shop the colorful creations of local artist Penelope Davis in our August Pop Up Arts Shop.

Penelope's products are selling fast. So, if you are interested in one of her original greeting cards, key fobs, mixed media paintings, bags, or jewelry, stop by today. Her Pop Up Arts Shop closes on August 31st!

Penelope is a self-taught artist who has been painting for over 35 years. She enjoys painting, drawing, and card making. She is originally from South Carolina and now resides here in Georgia. Her favorite images to paint are whimsical faces and florals, but she finds inspiration in a wide variety of subjects.

Our Mosaic Multicultural Festival is coming up on September 12th from 11-4 pm at the CAC!

Each year, we bring together local organizations, artists, businesses, and food vendors to provide our community with a taste of the world.

At this festival, each participating vendor selects a country or culture, decorates their booth to that theme, and provides activities and information related to that selected culture.

It's our way of celebrating the many amazing cultural traditions that enrich our area.

Today, we are very excited to reveal the next three of our cultural vendors who will be attending this year:

DC Family Services will be representing Ghana and bringing information for potential foster families.

West Georgia Arts & Culture will be showcasing Latin America providing information about their arts and culture mission.
..and the Simple Vue Academy will be educating guests on the fascinating Gullah Geechee culture and giving out information about their tuition free STEAM-based charter school serving the DC area.

***Treat your creative kids to a fun and deliciously artsy fall-themed project!***

Art with Kupcakes & Koffee offers creative experiences for children and adults through Kidz Zone events and sip and paint classes! Kidz Zone events provide a fun safe space where kids enjoy painting crafts and hands-on activities.

Join us for this session of kids paint with our “Apple Orchard Art Adventure!”

Students will participate in arts and crafts centered around this theme.
