Since 1986, the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County has offered high quality cultural events and arts activities in our community. Our mission is to nurture, guide and stimulate the enjoyment of and participation in the arts among residents of and visitors to Douglas County. Celebrating over 35 years of service, the Arts Council presents a sophisticated and diverse mix of all kind

s of programs – monthly exhibits, arts education in schools, hands-on workshops and classes for children and adults, gallery talks, Cheers to the Arts, Public Art, Summer Pop Up Parties, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Taste of Douglasville, Chili Cook Off, and so much more!

Reserve your child's spot now for this Summer's ***Kids African Dance Class*** at the CAC!

Taught by talented instructor, Mabinti Shabu, in this camp students will learn two dances from the Republic of Guinea-West Africa and have an opportunity to discuss and design traditional African dance costumes.

There will be a final demonstration for family and friends to celebrate what students have achieved during their time dancing together!

***TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT***

This year's CAC Annual Meeting has been turned into a party in celebration of our 40th anniversary.

Everyone is invited to the CAC TONIGHT, June 2 from 5-8 pm to enjoy this fair-themed event featuring food and art vendors, a dunk tank, and more.

For a new touch, we will have a limited amount of CAC Branded T-shirts available for purchase, including original T's from multiple years of the Beer & Wine Festival, Taste of Douglasville, and more. All proceeds go toward our arts and culture mission!

!!!ATTENTION ARTISTS!!!

The registration process for artists to participate in the CAC's 2026 National Juried Art Show closes on June 19th!

The cost is $40 to submit up to three pieces for consideration.

Prizes will include 1st place for $500, 2nd place for $250, 3rd place $150, Honorable Mention for $100, and a People’s Choice award for $75. The Douglas County Art Guild will hold a private jury to determine the recipient of a $100 cash award.

Our Fashion Entrepreneur Camp for beginner sewers starts on June 8th. Don't miss out. Spots are limited. Sign up soon.

Inexperienced sewers can sign up for both the beginner and advanced courses to make it into a two week camp with a fashion show at the end.

Experienced sewers can join the advanced course without taking the beginner camp.
