Thank you Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center(CAC) for having the YP for a special tour of your facility! Our group had a chance to learn the impactful things this organization does in the community to protect our children. We also donated much needed snacks that will be enjoyed by every child that walks through the doors and teddy bears for their teddy bear wall that children get to take home.
We encourage the community to check out this organization and learn how you can also be an advocate for children! All it takes is being aware!!

Some facts we learned today:
*The CAC has been filling a critical and unique need in our community for 25 years. Children who have been abused or neglected receive time-sensitive coordinated services in a child friendly, safe atmosphere. Their agency serves four counties working along with our law enforcement, District Attorney’s offices and Department of Human Resources partners to create a unique team approach to ensure children receive the care and services they need in a timely manner.
*Last year, 526 children with new allegations of child abuse or neglect came through the doors of our local CAC.
*Last year, this CAC taught over 12,000 students in four counties about body safety.
*All services including therapy for the victims and their non-offending family members are free of charge!!
