Last week, the museum had the privilege to visit second graders at Goshen Elementary School to share through our Educational Outreach Program!

Students enjoyed learning about the differences and similarities of the past and present while making butter, trying on clothes, getting to touch artifacts, and more!

We offer a variety of programs and we will come to you! If you are interested in the museum visiting your classroom, contact us today!

This is “Grump” the Red Wattle Hog enjoying a good scratch after a Summer rain. He is on the threatened list of the American Livestock Breed’s Conservancy so he is indeed a treasure. Grump has been safe at the park for many years greeting children, their families, and educational instructors. Make sure and stop by the farmstead and get to know him! The Wiregrass is fortunate to have this sweet guy! 🐷 😁

Jasper making great use of his hay ball. Enrichment items contribute to the health and happiness of animals kept in captivity. The hay ball provides him with a necessary part of his diet while also giving him some busy work! 😁
