🐟 Meet our Black Sea Bass!

Join Jack, our marine biologist, as he introduces one of his favorite residents of the Wonders of the Sea exhibit.

Black sea bass are full of personality, and they’re serious predators! They can be found from the kelp forests of the North Atlantic all the way down to the warmer waters of the Gulf of Mexico, hunting around reefs, rocky areas, and even offshore structures.

And here’s a fun fact: as they mature, black sea bass can develop a noticeable hump on their heads. It almost looks like they’ve earned their crown!

Come meet our young black sea bass and discover more incredible marine life at Wonders Center & Science Museum.
