🤯 MIND BLOWN MONDAY! 🤯

Prairie dogs can describe you. 👀

That little guy in the photo isn't just yelling, “Danger!” when something gets too close to the colony.

Prairie dogs have an incredibly complex alarm system. Their calls can communicate details about a threat—like what kind of predator it is, how big it is, and how fast it's moving.

But researchers discovered something even crazier.

Prairie dogs can distinguish COLORS. 🎨

In experiments with humans walking through prairie dog colonies, their calls changed depending on characteristics of the person approaching—including the color of their clothing.

So if you walked through a prairie dog town wearing a bright yellow shirt, they wouldn't just be telling everyone:

🚨 “Human!”

They could be passing along information that helps describe which human they're looking at.

Suddenly all that prairie-dog barking sounds a little less like random noise and a lot more like they're talking about you. 😂
