Late start today. Rose had a riding lesson this morning. She’s been struggling lately and Maddy and Juan scheduled some one on one time. It really helped; she did great and it was a great boost to her self esteem.

I’m finally sitting down to paint. Still working on WW2 British paratroopers and Celts. The second desk is piled high with stuff I need to get based and photographed, then there’s more to get cleaned and assembled.

There’s also a pile of terrain that needs done.

Working more with the some more Pro Acryl colors I picked up finding combinations I like and how they function.

The eye is about 80%. Much better but still a bit sore and irritated, and a bit blurry.

Only took a day and a half to do the brown and green on the splinter with my eye the way it is. Normally I’d wash the patter on smocks with a greenish gray wash to simulate the rain hashes but with these surfaces so big and flat I’m thinking I’ll have to actually paint some on.

For today’s trick I’ll attempt to paint a splinter pattern on these with a scratched left eye.
