FOLLOW THE LANDSCAPE

What happens when a landscape becomes a memory? Rick Allen’s expressive oil paintings bridge representation and abstraction, using bold color, dynamic brushwork, and a strong sense of atmosphere to create landscapes that are both familiar and open to interpretation.

Inspired by his experiences hiking and camping, Rick draws on memories of remote mountains, forests, rivers, and open spaces. His paintings don’t simply describe a place—they create stories that evoke the feeling of being there.

From sunlit fields to deep blue landscapes beneath moon and rain, each work invites you to follow the path into a place that feels both real and imagined.

Follow the road. Enter the landscape. Let the story unfold.

Wonders of Nature: A Journey Through Time

Nature speaks in a language that doesn't need words. Every changing sky, weathered rock, rushing river, and quiet forest carries the memory of time—and this is what inspires Colorado abstract painter Daniel Bahn.

Rather than recreating a landscape, Bahn is interested in capturing the feeling of standing within it: the movement, energy, light, and emotion that can only be experienced in the moment. His paintings are built through layers of color and texture, allowing each piece to evolve much like nature itself.

For Wonders of Nature – A Journey Through Time, Bahn has created works that invite viewers to slow down, look deeper, and reconnect with the natural world. His paintings remind us that beauty isn't only found in grand vistas, but also in subtle moments we often overlook. Come in. Slow down. Experience nature differently!

OPENING TODAY!
GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM explores the beauty found in disruption. Amanda Stavast utilizes layered mixed media, reclaimed materials, metallic textures, and expressive mark making to embrace fracture, imperfection, and transformation. What might be dismissed as broken or discarded is reimagined into surfaces rich with history, tension, and resilience. Each piece exists in the space between order and chaos, where unexpected interruptions become opportunities for discovery. Rather than correcting the glitch, this body of work celebrates it as evidence that change, adaptation, and reinvention are essential parts of every system.

✨OPENING THIS THURSDAY AUGUST 27
GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM: August 27 - September 20, 2026
Robin Faye Gates says "Our heads are crowded places"
This body of work lives inside that idea: the quiet chaos of a single mind, the interior noise that never quite settles.
These aren’t portraits of who someone is. They’re portraits of the fact that nobody really knows. Each piece sits with the internal negotiation—the noise, the contradictions, the occasional weird thought you’d never say out loud. Or you do.
A glitch, by definition, is a departure from the expected. But what if the glitch is the expected? What if the disruption, the multiplicity, and the thoughts that arrive uninvited are simply part of what it means to be human?

OPENING RECEPTION: Friday August 28, 6-9 PM

📍OPENING THURSDAY: GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM - August 27-Sep 20
Dmitri's artistic journey began at Metro State University where he earned a BFA in Painting. He spent two decades in the arts communities of Boston & New York mastering abstract oil painting before returning to Denver. This geographic shift sparked a desire to challenge his creative process with a refocus towards ink and water mediums.
This transition away from oil painting fundamentally altered his aesthetic perspective by blending the technical with the natural and strangely intuitive unpredictability of ink and water. The continuous dialogue between material control and environmental spontaneity creates a captivating tension, transforming each canvas into an open-ended conversation and a profound site of artistic discovery.
In this exhibition "Glitch In the System", he revisits his formative years at Metro State University, drawing conceptual inspiration from early studies in cosmology. This new body of work serves as a structured, abstract interpretation of the unseen quantum fields that constitute the fabric of space. 💚✨

ENTER A WORLD OF GODDESSES, COLOR & MYSTERY

What happens when nature, mythology, and the feminine divine meet?

Denver abstract expressionist Kirsten Bole explores the whimsical mystery of wisteria through color and movement, creating paintings inspired by Nordic goddesses.

Wisteria is a sacred vine associated with long life, love, and patience. Working primarily on birch wood panels, she draws on these themes to explore fertility, purification, and the connection between the earthly and the divine feminine.
Each painting offers its own atmosphere—some quiet and ethereal, others bold and charged with movement.

Come experience this evocative body of work at D’art Gallery and discover the goddess within the color, movement, and mystery.
