As some of you may already know, I am on the board of Union Hall, a 501(c)(3) arts organization in Downtown Denver. As a non-profit, they depend on the support of generous donors to be able to continue providing fair & equitable wages and opportunities to emerging artists and curators in the Denver community. In 2021 Union Hall worked with 25 artists and 5 guest curators, paying fair and equitable wages to all. 40% of those artists identified as BIPOC or Latinx, and 80% identified as female or non-binary!
 
Union Hall is participating in Colorado Gives Day on December 7th, 2021. That's tomorrow! CO Gives Day unites all Coloradans in a common goal to strengthen the state’s nonprofits by giving to their favorite charities online. Union Hall board members are committed to matching any gifts up to $10,000!!

Customized art can transform a space and the way you live in it. When I conceptualize a piece of art, it reflects not only the aesthetics of the room but more importantly the soul of the home.

This commissioned art is the largest scale of multimedia work I've created firsthand. I am ever grateful to my client for having the faith to set me on this journey. 🙌

As we continue to navigate these uncharted waters together, we wanted to create a safe space where everyone's words, thoughts, feelings, and comments could be shared and heard. Inspired by Union Hall's "Poems For Our Country" exhibition held in November 2019, we invite everyone to help shift the narrative in our country by contributing to "Words For Our Country." ♥️⁠

"Words For Our Country" is a temporary community engagement project that we are hosting both online and on the windows of our space in The Coloradan, next to Union Station. For the next few weeks, we will be collecting entries from submissions to our WordsForOurCountry.com webpage (link is in our bio). Your submission can be anything ranging from a single word, to a poem, to a story. 🌈 Each submission has a $2 charge to cover the printing and mounting expenses, and you have the ability to donate more if you are able to. As the submissions come in, we will be highlighting some of our favorites anonymously on our social media channels and placing them on our gallery windows for our neighbors and friends to see. You are able to send us as many submissions as you'd like, but please do not use any violent, discriminatory, or hateful language. ⁠

We believe words have the power to bring us together, to challenge conventions, to inspire, to comfort, and to heal.
