Now on view in Marfa, Linda Herritt’s ‘By Degrees, Other Shapes Emerged.’

Herritt has long used language as both structure and image. Across her fabric installations and monoprints words and fragments of text are enlarged, reorganized and partially obscured, shifting our attention between reading the language and looking at the composition.

{Satellite #04} ‘Patterns of Influence’ opens this Friday, Aug 14, from 6–8pm.

So much love and admiration to our guest curator Simon Zalkind and to Randy Roberts of Z Art Department. Both have spent many decades creating space for Colorado artists and helping shape the way their work is seen, understood and remembered. Their commitment to this history has made exhibitions like this possible.

It feels especially meaningful to present Patterns of Influence in that company.

Our next RULE Satellite opens this Friday at Z Art Department in Denver. Z | Modern

Patterns of Influence brings together artists whose friendships and practices first took shape around CU Boulder in the late 1960s and 1970s. What began through proximity, conversation, and shared experimentation developed into a lasting network of influence—one that continued to shape their work across decades and remains visible in the relationships, ideas, and artistic legacies carried forward today.
