“Touch Of Grey” by photographer Jay Blakesberg Photography

This is a rare opportunity to acquire this large format print of Jerry Garcia. The piece is comprised of 3,504 photographs of the Grateful Dead taken by bay area photographer – Jay Blakesberg. The photographs of the band were taken between 1977 through 1995. Jay combined all the images digitally to create the larger image of Jerry Garcia with the help of artist Craig Adam. The print size is 45”x51” unframed, signed by Jay and there were only twenty-five in the edition. Two were sold before Jay took this piece completely off the market.

A collector of our gallery bought print 6/25 in 2007 and must now sell it. This is a once in a lifetime chance to add this rare print to your collection. Interested parties please email me with questions: [email protected].

Just a little personal story… I grew up in Florida - on the beach…. Life was filled with swimming, boating, diving and hanging at the beach. In high school Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers became the anthem of our lives. I attended his shows from 1974 till the late 2020’s. Sadly we lost Jimmy in 2023.

In 2024 we went to the tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl. I didn’t think anything would come close till tonight. Tonight Mac McAnally and Scotty Emerick played at the Paramount Denver. What a fabulous show, not only paying tribute to Jimmy but showcasing their music too. Then Scotty mentioned he lived in my home town of Vero Beach! I guess we all have a lot more in common than we knew! Great show and thanks for being so gracious after the the show!

It is with a heavy heart we must share that Herbie Greene passed away Monday. We began working with Herbie in late 1989 and did many great projects with him. He and Bill developed a strong friendship and stayed in close contact over the years. I remember one crazy habit he had - after every Grateful Dead concert we went to with him he would listen to classical music on the ride home. He said that was his way of clearing his mind after the show. We will miss you Herbie - safe travels!
