Horizons Colorado Enrichment Program

Horizons at Colorado Academy (CA) includes a 6-week summer program, combined with "Super Saturdays" throughout the year, helping students from Denver public schools close the achievement gap. Annually, 200 students pre-K through high school return to CA's campus each summer, reuniting with students, faculty, and staff with one goal in common: ensuring that students achieve their full potential in every way.

Here’s to the start of another school year! We‘re so proud of our Horizons CA students and the academic growth they achieved over the summer. On average students gained an impressive 4.2 months of growth in reading and math in just six weeks, and we know they are ready to carry this momentum into the new school year. We can’t wait to see them this fall, both on campus and throughout the community!

Cheers to the start of another school year! We‘re so proud of our Horizons CA students and the academic growth they achieved over the summer. 💦 That's a wrap on another incredible summer at Horizons CA!

We celebrated our final day the Horizons CA way with giant water slides! It was the perfect way to mark six weeks of learning and growing with Horizons!

To our students, families, teachers, volunteers, and supporters: thank you for making this summer so special. We are proud of everything our students have accomplished and can't wait to see where the year ahead takes them.

📚✨ Growth worth celebrating!
At the beginning and end of each Horizons CA summer, every student completes reading and math assessments. The pre-summer assessments provide a benchmark, and the end-of-summer testing helps us measure the progress students make over six weeks of learning and enrichment.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and determination. Every page read, problem solved, and challenge conquered is a testament to their growth.

🌟 Learning doesn't stop at the classroom door!

Field trips are a highlight of the Horizons CA experience. This summer, students explored agriculture at CALF (Colorado Agricultural Leadership Foundation), practiced their swings at Topgolf, and showed off their swimming skills at local water parks like Pirate's Cove, to name a few.

These adventures build community and create memories that last long after summer ends.

From relay races and yard games to laughter, cheers, and plenty of high-fives, our students celebrated with unforgettable day of fun and community.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers, staff, and supporters who gave their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make Horizons Hustle such a special experience. Thank you for showing up for our students and helping to create a day filled with joy and lasting memories.
