The museum showcases Denver's rich baseball history with a complete section of Denver Bears/Zephyrs artifacts. The original goal of the National Ballpark Museum was to concentrate on ballpark memorabilia. Bruce Hellerstein meticulously acquired artifacts, bricks, postcards, jerseys, books, pictures and more. The collection grew to house seats from all the classic ballparks. Some of his most signif

icant collectibles include:

The light fixtures from the marble rotunda entrance to Ebbets Field, the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers
The arched window and cornerstone from Forbes Field, the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tribute to CO Baseball history
Autographed baseballs and bats
And much more...
The legacy of National Ballpark Museum is to pass on the passion and love for our National Pastime and its ballparks. May all your baseball dreams come true!

During the recent Denver Film Festival, Bruce and I stumbled upon a very entertaining and thoughtful baseball movie named “Eephus.” The night we saw the movie, Carson Lund, the brilliant creator of this masterpiece, was in the house, and we stayed to chat with him after the movie. This movie is currently playing at the SEI FilmCenter and the Alamo Drafthouse, and we have set up an exhibit at the The Museum dedicated to this movie.
To read more about, it visit Carson’s X account at https://x.com/lund_carson?lang=en, where Roger Ebert gave it a thumbs up. Also, if you subscribe to the NY Times digital edition, you can read all about it at https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/06/movies/eephus-review-one-last-game.html, where it is marked as an NYT Critic’s Pick,

We hope you see the movie and share your thoughts with us here.

The final day on a small town baseball field is the setting for a funny, elegiac feature directorial debut.

Thank you to Kyle Banister for sharing this.

Baseball is a team sport made up of individual efforts. Baseball is the only game I know of that gives credit for making a sacrifice, in the score book. The very game itself is about a journey, and the hope of returning Home safely.
Today is the day we specifically remember and honor Jackie Robinson. I say "specifically" because there isn't a day that goes by where Jackie Robinson's "Hero's Journey" isn't reflected in everyday life. Or should be. Thank you for all you did Jackie.
"There's more to life than baseball, but there's a lot about life that can be learned from baseball. “

For the 75-year-old Hellerstein, a graduate of George Washington High and the University of Denver, the museum is his effort to “preserve American treasures” for future generations.

This says it all.
