CREATIVE CAREERS IS ABOUT MORE THAN MAKING ART.
This summer, the interns created, collaborated, built connections and learned from one another. Those experiences came together in Exploration, an interactive exhibition created and curated by Creative Careers artists.
You can experience their work for yourself during First Friday, September 4. While you’re here, visit The Collective Spectacle, featuring work by ArtWorks artists in the Main Gallery.
Both exhibitions close September 5.
Come see what they created.

How 99 Pieces of Art Works.
It’s simple by design.
On Friday, September 18, 99 original works of art will fill Access Gallery. Each is created on a 10-by-10-inch board. Each is priced at $99.
No bidding. No intimidating auction. No wondering what something costs.
When the doors open at 6 pm, explore the gallery, find the piece that speaks to you, purchase it and take it home that night.
And if there’s a piece you really want? Come early. A line often forms before the doors open as collectors wait to get the first look at all 99 pieces.
Twenty years ago, Access Gallery created this event as a different kind of art experience, one where everyone could take part. Since then, 99 Pieces of Art has introduced people to original art, helped collectors discover artists they continue to follow and created more opportunities for people with disabilities in the arts.
Whether this will be your first piece of original art or your latest, you’re invited to come discover what connects with you.

Every work of art begins with a story.
Some will make you smile. Some will surprise you. Some may remind you of a place, a person or a memory. Others may stay with you long after you've left the gallery.
That's what makes 99 Pieces of Art so special.
For one evening, Access Gallery artists and artists from across the community come together to share 99 original works of art, each created on a 10-by-10-inch board and each priced at $99.
Whether you're purchasing your first piece of original artwork or adding to a growing collection, you never know which one will speak to you.
We hope you'll join us on Friday, September 18 and discover your story.

Jaida’s creativity doesn’t stop with one art form. Inspired by stories and fandoms, she creates original visual artwork while continuing to expand her creative practice through music, including recent work with Youth on Record.
As Jaida says, “I want to entertain someone.”

A commission built together.

Executive Director Damon McLeese commissioned this summer’s ArtWorks interns to transform a bench that had been sitting behind Access Gallery for years.

Working together, the interns turned something forgotten into a one-of-a-kind collaborative work of art, with each artist contributing their own ideas, patterns and style.

The finished bench is now part of The Collective Spectacle, on view at Access Gallery through September 5.

And this piece can be yours. The bench is available for purchase at Access Gallery.

Two exhibitions. One opening night.

Join us this Friday for the opening of two exhibitions celebrating creativity, growth and imagination at Access Gallery.

In the Main Gallery, The Collective Spectacle features original artwork created by the 2026 ArtWorks interns. Over the summer, 10 recent high school graduates with disabilities explored new techniques, developed their artistic skills and created a body of work reflecting their individual interests and perspectives.

On the Community Art Wall, Exploration is an interactive exhibition created and curated by five Access Gallery artists participating in the new Creative Careers internship. Visitors are invited to imagine, explore and discover as they experience artwork designed to spark curiosity, play and connection.

Join us to celebrate the artists and experience two exhibitions shaped by creativity and collaboration.
