The 2nd firing of the entire kiln load was successful. The gas company replaced the regulator on the propane tank and Terry cleaned the pilots on the kiln. And he stayed by the kiln and helped me during the entire firing. The second firing required a different firing schedule and I was worn out. The new motor for my wheel should be here soon and hopefully I'll be back to work making pieces for galleries. A big thank you to Shane Mickey!) Meanwhile I'll clean these pots and start posting some of the pots headed to the Carolina Pottery Festival in Shelby NC on Saturday November 7th. Welcome fall 🤞

Ready to load the kiln...Terry has kiln washed everything, marked the damper, made lunch!, and I've made the cone packs, witness cones, rings, wadding, and glazed the interior of 27 mugs! Trying to get mugs fired for the Cedar Creek Invitational Cup Show which opens January 9th. Not last minute or anything🤣 The firing also has some bowls, vases, candle stands, cheese boards, and cake stands. What a gorgeous day!
