Colorado woman artist Olivia Dorencz
Many women artists don’t want to be defined or labeled as a woman artist, because they just want the same recognition as an artist that men get.
The Colorado Women’s Art Museum is choosing to deliberately flip the script. We are naming women artists to define their creative genius, talent and capability as distinctly because they are women.
We’re claiming the label woman artist and giving it a new life that defines not only gender, but splendor.
We’re choosing to shine the light on Colorado women visual artists and pull them out from the shadows so they can be seen, admired, and appreciated as the astounding women artists they are.
From where we stand being a woman is an asset. And being a woman artist is worth celebrating.

"Converging Visions" , a new exhibition featuring the paintings of Laura Brenton opens this Thursday and runs through June 28th in D'art GAllery.
✨Contemporary painter Laura Brenton draws inspiration through movement. Layers of imagery overlap and dissolve, creating liminal spaces where forms hover between appearance and disappearance. One image gives way to another, shifting perception and focus. Stop by to view these stunning works💚💚
