The list of materials needed for the class:

⋆ Students can choose to use traditional or Water Mixable oil paints, the painting process is basically the same. CorePaintColors (Beginner Palette) Traditional or Water Mixable. A limited palette teaches color mixing and keeps costs manageable.

⋆ Brushes (Variety for Different Techniques) Synthetic or natural bristle brushes both work; beginners often prefer synthetics for control. I use mostly synthetic but there are a few techniques that require a stiff brush.

⋆ Mediums & Solvents (Only Gamsol or equivalent 100% PURE 1 Copilot may make mistakes mineral spirits. DO NOT BRING OR USE Regular “odorless” mineral spirits.

⋆ Palette knife
⋆ Canvas panels two 8”X10” and/or two 9”X12”
⋆ Various sized mixing containers/surfaces
⋆ Basic clean up materials
