Step back in time with us to the 1750s-1812 to experience daily life of the settlers. The weekend is full of demonstrations such as natural plant dye's, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, spinning, weaving, food preparation, musket and artillery demonstrations, candle dipping for the kids and much more. Visit with our equine friends who will be riding through and explore the original log cabins on site,

We completed our first AuGlaize Village's Settler's Encampment Timeline Event on Sunday. With demonstrations from the French and Indian War through WWII, and skills of living through the centuries, the event had a little something for everyone. The horse and mule were riden through the Village after the WWII jeep zipped through. Cannons firing always gets you attention. There was even a stolling fiddle player to entertain! The weather held good for us and there was a sense of welcoming by all the reenactors for any questions. We at AuGlaize would like to thank all the reenactors and public for coming. We could not have an event without you! Cheryl

Hello Folks.
I have an ask from you as a group. I'm looking to help make a small dream come true for a young man graduating.
I am looking for anyone who would be willing to lend a car (Think fast and furious types, Skylines, Lancers, Eclipse, Mazda RX-7, Subaru Impreza, etc or In dream land, a Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin), hopefully for sometime *nice weather of course* in the next week or 2 for about a half hour-hour.

Any 1750-1812 reenactors interested in participating in the 1750-1812 Settlers' Encampment on the AuGlaize, please go to www.auglaizevillage.com to fill out a registration. This is a juried event.

Meetings the 1st Thursday of each month will be held at the AuGlaize Village 12296 Krouse Rd. Defiance at 7PM. All are welcome. Click on the three lines in the upper left corner for information on events, meetings, and clubs The School Day registration form is located at the bottom of the events

The Settler's Encampment on the AuGlaize, 1715-1812, is ready to go! The grounds at 12296 Krouse Rd., Defiance, Ohio are lovely and the reenactors are excited to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Demonstrating will be the best here. We have 46 camps scheduled so there will by some frontier skill you are interest in and new things to learn. The cannons will be firing so be ready! You can get a good look at the Village from the train that runs around the Village for a cost of $2.00.
The dates are MAY 20-21 The cost is $5.00 per person and children under 12 are FREE. Parking is free. Concession stand will be open.

Welcome to the Settlers Encampment on the Auglaize. The encampment is a wonderful educational and cultural living history experience held annually at historic Auglaize Village in Defiance, Ohio.

Step back in time with us to the 1750s-1815 and experience daily life of the early explorers and settlers. The weekend is full of demonstrations such as natural plant dyeing, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, spinning, weaving, food preparation, musket and artillery demonstrations, candle dipping for the kids, period music and much more.
