We cook, cap and label hundreds of jars by hand most every weekday, using a small batch p
rocess that makes the flavor sing! Fifteen flavors of jam, chutney and marmalade, made the old-fashioned way with mostly Maine fruit, cane sugar and no nasty stuff. From May to October our Shop is where you will find not only jam, but also mostly Maine-made goodies - aprons, potholders, towels, mixes, softies, baby bibs and rattles, cribbage boards, soap, glassware and pottery. There is a sandbox for little ones, Adirondack chairs for old ones, checker boards for play, and woods and meadows to explore. Nellieville is a found object sculpture village built and furnished by sculptor Peter Beerits: a Western town, juke joint, general store, blacksmith shop, good ol’ boy garage and a church. Peter sells dozens of sculptures every year, from little birdies to giant ogres, as well as an eclectic assortment of commissions. We ship jam, and the dozens of Maine crafts found in our shop, all over the US and package gifts for any occasion. Our holiday gift boxes are tied with a red and white gingham ribbon.
