Locust School Museum

Locust School Museum School is maintained as a living history site where school classes are able to visit and experience a typical school day of the 19th & early 20th century.

Locust School was built in 1854 and operated continuously for 108 years. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Locust School Committee of the Historical Society was founded in 1965 to preserve the one-room school so generations of students would be able to see a reminder and symbol of all former rural school days. Hours open, June thru Labor Day, Sat-Sun 1-4 or by appointment.
