Adams County Historical Society - Indiana Dedicated to Preserving and Teaching the History of Adams County, Indiana The original meetings were held at the local Decatur Public Library. Monroe St.

This is the Official page for the Adams County Historical Society in Decatur, Indiana. The Adams County Historical Society was formed in September 1957 to preserve and educate the history of Adams County Indiana. In February 1968 the Society purchased at auction the former Charles Dugan Mansion at 420 W. Decatur for the use of a home for the society and a museum for the ever growing colle

ction of county artifacts the society had been collecting. We continue to maintain artifacts, document histories, and educate the community on the rich background of Adams County, Indiana. This page is administered by the ACHS Board Secretary, Rebecca Webb.

A friend reminder - you have until this THURSDAY (6/18/26) to drop off item donations for the Historical Museum's Yard Sale.

You are welcome to leave your item donations on the back porch of the Museum. Located: 420 W. Monroe St. Decatur, IN

(Not accepting: clothes, hazardous materials, broken items)

All proceeds from the Yard Sale on June 20th go to benefit the Adams County Historical Society.
