The North Platte Historical Museum is excited to host a presentation by Johnny Shultz of artifacts from the Camden Point Civil War Battlefield. Free roasted pork tenderloin supper at 5pm. At 5:30pm, Johnny will talk on the artifacts he has found while metal detecting (with land owners permission) the battlefield. June 7th at the Camden Point Firehouse.

Chip Thompson will be our first 'Music in the Museum' performer at 11am on May 9th. Chip has been giving North Platte students guitar lessons so we invite them and everyone else to hear Chip during our weekend of honoring the North Platte Class of 2026. This presentation is due to the grant received from Platte County Parks and Recreation.

Friday and Saturday...Honoring North Platte 2026 Graduates by giving free gift cards and drawings for $100-$200 Gift Baskets; just for stopping in! Saturday from 10-4pm exhibits of Edgerton, Camden Point, Dearborn and North Platte Schools. Entertainment-Chip Thompson at 11am on guitar. One Room Schoolhouse presentation at 1pm. Continuous showing of a 1930s silent movie of Dearborn football practise and students waving at the camera.

This Sunday! March 9-4th Steve Goodlet Memorial Lecture on New Market history. Pulled pork supper @ 5pm followed by presentation. Supper is donation only.

April 18-Quilt Show, 10-4pm @ Museum, 210 Main St, Dearborn MO

May 8th and 9th North Platte Class of 2026 graduates honored with gift cards for visiting the museum after graduation practice Friday morning. Exhibits feature Dearborn, Edgerton, Camden Point graduates as well as all North Platte graduates.
Chip Thompson plays guitar Saturday morning at 11am.

June 20-Honoring First Responders-10-4pm
11 am Rick Moore portrays Ben Franklin speaking about his Fire Bucket Brigades
1pm Ain’t Misbehaving singing patriotic music

July 18th-Remembering Our Hometown Airline: TWA
10-4pm A gathering of former TWA employees with an exhibit of TWA memorabilia.

August 15-Harvest Days exhibits and Emergency Exit performing from 1-2pm

September 19th-Reminisce Days 10-4pm

October 17- Art Show 10-4pm

November 7-Veteran’s Day, Donuts and coffee for all vets,
Annual Bake Sale with 50/50 split for Edgeron American Legion and museum 10-4pm
