This is the big summer event.

Artist if you do wheatpaste:

Or did them when you were younger you can send in a wheatpaste print, drawing and the team here will paste it up for you on the building in the poster below. The Orphanage Gallery is helping find some art for this massive event. You can also participate in person if you want. For some of my hooligan friend who live far away and are busy like me the mail option is the way to go.

As we're making a vat of wheatpaste for this event. I know some of you who now work in fine art did this very thing when you were younger so relive your youth and message me I send you the address and other details. The works must be all audiences friendly as our area is open to the public.

With mutli panel pieces please include a diagram for easy of installation.

Now accepting wheatpastes for this event hosted by Brick City Artworks that will be here soon

Next time you stop by The Hudson Traveling Museum of Folk Art stop by an say hi to the creature under the stairs which is a bit shy.
This little gem started off as someone's grandmothers fur coat and was turned into a finger puppet now one of the many sculpture characters at the museum. This work was created by Fairy Godmother.
The concept of this character hiding in a museum goes way back there's always a staff member hiding somewhere. It also relates to art firs wherein one can find one or more of the models who where hired by the gallery hiding and avoiding people. In The Hudson Traveling Museum of Folk Art even the placement and subject matter of a lot of it's works relate to aspects of a museum or aspects of the contemporary art world. Stay tuned for more revelations.
You may have noticed that this area of the museum got some fresh paint which was done to get rid of that brown paint that just was not working. Painting this area also represents something interesting as well but you will have to wait5 to find out what that is as well.

This Smokey by Albuquerque, New Mexico artist Steve White has been added to the permanent collection of The Hudson Traveling Museum of Folk Art. Lots of great folk artist lived in Ohio or are from Ohio and some still live here. Ohio has a larger influence on the folk art world than one would think.

Steve is a great folk artist who transforms Pez candy dispenser's in to his whimsical sculptures. Amazing stuff.

Steve's hometown is Lima, Ohio which is just a short drive from here.
