Fall is here and we’ve made some big decisions over our break at Vagabond.
First, the Vagabond Rag has come to a close. We are super proud of the collaborative work we did with the writers, contributors, and supporters of the Rag but it’s time to make room for new projects.
Second, while Vagabond Studio & Gallery isn’t ending, we’ve decided to shift to a private studio, wipe the slate, and make room for new goals and experiences.
When we started, we set a target for ourselves. In April 2026, we successfully achieved that original 5 year goal. Along the way, you all helped us make a real mark, from placing us among the Best of Dayton in just our second year to keeping that love flowing year after year. We are so proud of what Vagabond became, and now we are looking forward to moving on to what lies ahead.
So, for now, Vagabond will continue to be closed to the public. We are excited to focus in on our next chapter and create something new we can share with you at some point in the future.
I think we’ve made it abundantly clear how much the experiences we’ve created together at Vagabond have meant to us and with that we are walking away deeply thankful and fulfilled. But the clock ticks on and there are other awesome things to be done before our tickets expire.
While Vagabond does not plan to be open to the public for the foreseeable future, we do plan to occasionally host private events and will reopen publicly to share our work as we are compelled to.
To the artists, musicians, volunteers, and guests who filled our space, we will keep you in mind as these private opportunities arise.
Thank you again for sharing in this journey, honoring us with your support, and creating memorable experiences with us at Vagabond. Big Love…
