Y’all……we had the best time visiting the fabulous Mojo Collins in his studio in the Outer Banks. Besides being the most wonderful artist, a lot of people don’t realize that Mojo is a blues legend! As a matter of fact, he spent a lot of time talking to me about his friendship with one of my favorite blues singers, Janis Joplin!

Mojo never uses traditional painting surfaces. He only uses wood that he finds from torn down buildings, sides of the road, and even old driftwood. So none of his pieces are quite alike, and all of them have the most amazing story behind them! When I got to his house, I even found some wood that my own father had put at the side of the road a few days earlier!

Pop on in y’all, and grab yourself a piece of Mojo history!
