RIP, Mike Ditka 😞

A Pitt man and a pitch man, with unprecedented football success in between, Mike Ditka was one of those larger-than-life characters with countless nicknames.

The Hammer.

Iron Mike.

Da Coach.

In these parts, he’ll simply be known as a legend forever. Ditka, the former Aliquippa and Pitt star who went on to win Super Bowls as a Hall of Fame player and coach in the NFL, died at 86, his family announced Friday.

A CALL FOR STEELWORKERS

The Beaver County Industrial Museum has been approached by a representative for Andrea Pugiotto, a professional photographer from Venice, Italy, who is coming to our area October 6-8 to work on a Steelworker Portraiture Project.

If you are a current or retired steelworker and have an interest in being photographed for this project, please message us with your contact information, so that we can connect you with the photographer's contact.
