🍂 There’s Still Time to Visit! 🍂

Our 2026 museum season is wrapping up in October, but the Montgomery House and Boyd House museums remain open every Sunday from 1–4 PM through October 25.

Come take a walk through Montour County’s fascinating past before the season ends. Sunday, October 25, will be our final public tour day of 2026.

Private tours are still available at all three locations.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, volunteered and supported the Montour County Historical Society this year. You help us keep Montour County’s memories alive! ❤️🏛️

🏛️ THREE MUSEUMS. ONE SUNDAY. LOTS OF MONTOUR COUNTY HISTORY!

Tomorrow, Sunday, September 20, from 1–4 PM, you have a special opportunity to visit all three Montour County Historical Society museums!

🏠 Montgomery House Museum

Step inside the 1792 home of Danville founder William Montgomery and discover the people and stories that helped shape our community.

🏛️ Boyd House Museum
19 Bloom Street, Danville
Explore Montour County’s military history, local businesses and industries, families, and more.

🔔 Mooresburg One-Room Schoolhouse
685 Liberty Valley Road
Take a trip back to school — old-school! See an authentic one-room classroom with its desks, slate tablets, coal stove, school bell, and more.

All three are open 1–4 PM this Sunday!

And don’t wait too long to visit Mooresburg — September 20 is the Schoolhouse’s final scheduled open day of the 2026 season.
