A little more room for Oakville history!
A huge thank you to Lawrence County High School for donating their former trophy case to Oakville. It has found a new home in our museum hallway and a new job showing off a few of Oakvilleβs ephemera and artifacts.
Inside youβll find glimpses of Oakville life from the 1830s through the 1880s, from handwritten documents and newspaper clippings that tell surprisingly big stories about this little community. The case also preserves memorabilia from the building of the Oakville museum and the story of Mr. David Goodlett carving our Sequoyah statue.
