As America celebrates 250 years, Dania Beach shares in the celebration with its incredible story of resilience, rising from the wilderness to becoming the Tomato Capital of the World, then evolving into the Antique Capital of the South. Today, we’re witnessing a renaissance revival that is transforming our beloved city as we step boldly into the 21st century! 🌱🍅🕰️

Many thanks to the City of Dania Beach for its recent investments in historic preservation. We
are eagerly anticipating our move into the recently renovated, historic Nyberg-Swanson House, and renovation is ongoing at the historic Dania Women’s Club headquarters. Now we are excited to announce the City’s recent purchase of the historic M.C. Frost House, located at 400 South Federal Highway.
Martin Christian (M.C.) Frost, son of Andrew Christian (A.C.) Frost, built this home in 1923-24.
Both A.C. and M.C. played significant roles in the city’s history: A.C. as “the Father of Dania
Beach,” and M.C. as a mayor, an alderman, a Broward County commissioner, a tomato grower, a realtor, and a developer.
The M.C. Frost Home is located in the City’s Dania Heights subdivision, which he developed.
The two-story, white, Mediterranean Revival home surrounded by a great deal of land is
constructed on rusticated concrete block. It stands out due to its ornate, red tile roof and parapets and its masonry stucco wall decorated with orb finials. Three cheers to the City of Dania Beach for honoring the history contained within this majestic structure!
