I realize that “fabric bug workshop” sounds like one of those ideas that could either be amazing or completely unhinged…

Thankfully, it’s the first one. 😂

If you were the kind of kid who collected interesting rocks, feathers, tiny treasures, and mysterious things you found outside, this workshop might be for you.

Join me for Curious Creatures, a whimsical fabric collage workshop where we’ll create one-of-a-kind framed insects using beautiful textiles, stitching, and vintage-inspired details. Part art project, part curiosity cabinet, and a whole lot of creative fun.

✨ No artistic experience required
✨ All materials included
✨ Vintage frame included

You’ll leave with a finished framed piece that’s completely unique and a reminder that creativity doesn’t always have to be serious to be meaningful.

Yesterday, three women came to The Creative Table without knowing a single person in the room.

Not me.
Not each other.
No familiar faces waiting for them.

And I keep thinking about that.

Because sometimes bravery doesn’t look like climbing a mountain or making a dramatic life change.

Sometimes bravery looks like buying the ticket.
Walking through the door.
Pulling up a chair.
Starting a conversation.
Showing up for yourself before you know how it’s going to go.

To some people, that might seem like a small thing.

But if you’ve ever walked into a room full of strangers by yourself, you know it can feel huge.

So today I just want to recognize those small brave acts.

The women who showed up yesterday showed up for themselves, for creativity, and for community. And by the end of the afternoon, they weren’t strangers anymore.

I think there’s something really beautiful about that. ❤️

Yesterday’s Creative Table was a beautiful reminder that creativity has a way of bringing people together.

There were women who came with friends, women who came alone, women who hadn’t picked up a paintbrush in years, and by the end of the afternoon everyone was sharing stories, encouraging each other, and creating something uniquely their own.

I started The Creative Table because I was craving exactly this: a place to gather, make beautiful things, and connect with other women outside of the usual demands of everyday life.

The artwork is wonderful, but the conversations, laughter, and sense of community are what stay with me.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, registration is now open for the next Creative Table on August 1. I’d love to save you a seat.

Comment ART and I’ll send you the details.

I don’t know nearly enough about Indian fashion to do this beautiful garment justice, but I couldn’t resist buying it.

I’ve always been drawn to the incredible use of color, pattern, and craftsmanship in Indian textiles and clothing. As someone who spends her days surrounded by paint and color, it feels like wearable art.

I’m still learning, but I wanted to share my appreciation for the beauty and creativity behind it.
