Start your 4th off with a BOOM! We will be firing the Civil War cannon on the grounds of the museum at 11:00 am Saturday morning. Come early, explore the grounds, park your lawn chair in the shade and watch the show. The museum is open for tours Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 3.

On Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30 in the evening, the Humboldt County historical Association will be presenting the history of Humboldt College started by the Reverend Stephen H Taft. Martha Schmidt and Steve Sandford will be sharing information, pictures, and stories about what was once called the "Harvard of the West." The presentation will be held in the Clancy classroom on the Museum grounds.

Start your Fourth of July celebration off with a bang. We will be firing the Civil War Canon built by Darlow Rapple in celebration of America's 250th birthday. The event will take place on the grounds of the museum at 11 AM sharp. Everyone is invited to come out and experience the roar of an 1841 war machine
