There's a lot of work to do at St. George Reef Lighthouse!!! Because the windows haven't been maintained since the Coast Guard abandoned the property in 1975, a lot of moisture gets in and makes short work of anything metal or wooden.

It's the mission of the SGRLPS to clean up this lighthouse and keep it shining for years to come. Join us!

If you're coming in for a landing or taking off from the Crescent City airport, you just might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Saint George Reef Lighthouse from the air!

Photos like this really put into perspective not only how isolated this lighthouse is, but how unique it is, as well.
