We have had quite the unexpected adventure this weekend!

For those wondering "wtf happened" -
DJ took a dive off a second story balcony while helping to install the railing. After falling 12', he suffered a broken tibia at the knee joint as well as 3 cracked ribs and fractured sternum. He was flown to Colorado Springs Wednesday night and had surgery Friday morning. He has been doing great with his recovery but anyone whos broken a rib can tell you how hard that makes EVERYTHING. We are hopeful to head home soon, but he is comfortable and well taken care of at the moment and thats all we can really ask for. We are unsure when he will be released at this time.

DJ is our beloved tour guide, maintenance extraordinaire, and my husband. He is integral to day-to-day operations at the museum, and we are going to miss him dearly while he is recovering. We know he will be back up and running as quickly as he can, but he's got a long road ahead of him.
