This is my brother-n-law Willie Ryland, volunteering for the Museum, putting together metal benches. These benches were part of a Health and Historical Walking Trail Initiative. The City of Cotton Plant( Mayor Ryland) in collaboration with the CPHM acquired a small grant as part of a health initiative to purchase these benches. The benches were placed along Main Street primarily in the Historical District as a reminder of Cotton Plants’ History. Locations are: The Old Court House, Will May’s 5&10, one in memory of Sister Rosetta Tharpe by her Sign, the Old Bank location across from City Hall and the Old Cotton Seed Office in front of the museum.
