Reimagining Museums — See You in Munich

LUXAM looks forward to attending IMCC Munich 2026 from 25–27 October, under the theme Revitalize: Reimagining Museums for a New Era.

Museum renewal requires thoughtful decisions about what to retain, what to evolve and how lighting can support new interpretation while respecting architecture, collections and conservation requirements.

In Munich, we look forward to conversations about conservation-led upgrades, integrated showcase and gallery lighting, flexible systems and precision focusing.

A special thank-you goes to LUXAM Germany’s Managing Director Raffael Pollak Raffael Pollak, who has pulled out all the stops to give this international gathering a truly Bavarian welcome.

Joining Raffael will be Jean-François Hocquard, Daphnée Hocquard and Albine Scelles-Dauchez.

The team looks forward to seeing familiar faces, making new connections and meeting you in Munich.

Building on the legacy of the former 45th Infantry Division Museum, the new Oklahoma National Guard Museum has opened in Oklahoma City with an expanded story to tell— tracing the service of Oklahoma’s Army and Air National Guard from the territorial militia of 1890 to the present day.

Across approximately 20,000 square feet of new galleries, artefacts, documents and personal histories bring this remarkable legacy into focus.

Luxam provided MicroLED lighting and precision focusing for the museum’s display cases and exhibits, allowing each object to speak with clarity and presence.

Congratulations to on bringing this exceptional project to life.

Luxam is delighted to have contributed to its realisation, using precision lighting to reveal the collection with clarity and sensitivity. It is a privilege to help shape an experience that invites visitors to look more closely and connect with the remarkable stories held within each object.

AAM () 2026, thank you.

This week was full of great conversations, familiar faces, new introductions, and the kind of behind-the-scenes museum work we love being part of.

From exhibition planning to case details to how lighting quietly shapes what visitors see, we’re leaving Philadelphia grateful for everyone who stopped by, shared a project, or simply said hello.

Always a pleasure being in a room full of people who care this much about museums.

Museums help us see more than objects. They help us see one another.

This International Museum Day, Luxam celebrates the institutions that bring stories, cultures, science, history, and communities into shared view.

From the Biodôme de Montréal () to the Musée de l’Armée (), the Eames Institute Gallery (), the Library of Congress (), and the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum (), we are honored to support spaces where lighting helps shape deeper moments of connection.

This year’s ICOM () theme, “Museums Uniting a Divided World,” reminds us of the role museums play in fostering dialogue, understanding, and cultural exchange.

Happy International Museum Day.
