The museum received this pencil drawing of the Copper Center Chapel (that use to be on the hill) that was donated by Marnie Graham & Doug Vollman. The drawing was made by local Glennallen legend Georgia Strunk. Among Georgia’s many talents and accomplishments, has the distinction of being the oldest graduate from Prince William Sound Community College, with a degree in Art!

Had our 1000th visitor here at the museum yesterday. So far this year we've had people from 45 of the 50 states and 22 different countries. Still have a few more weeks before we close for the season, come see us. 🥸

This was in the donations jar a few days ago, if only it was real wouldn't have any concerns about paying the bills. 😀

Had a family from Anchorage visit the museum first thing this morning. One of the exhibits that caught their eye was of the concretions. After telling them what little I know and stating that I’m not a geologist, the Mom says “I am” and proceeds to tell all of us about them. How they are formed, where they’re found and the different names they are known by. Spirit & Fairy Stones, Mud-Bubbles & Clay Dogs are a few. What a great way to start the day.
