Call to Artists: CAM Biennial 2026 — Facing Forward deadline August 28th

Calling Oregon artists! Applications are now open for CAM Biennial 2026: Facing Forward, on view at Coos Art Museum from October 31, 2026–January 24, 2027.

Held every two years, the CAM Biennial brings together emerging and established artists connected to Oregon, providing an opportunity to share new work, gain professional visibility, and connect with audiences from across the region.

This year’s theme, Facing Forward, centers on portraiture and explores identity, community, cultural memory, resilience, and the future. Artists are invited to consider the many ways portraits can tell personal stories, reflect collective experiences, and explore our connections to Oregon.

This is an un-juried exhibition, with one submission per artist accepted according to the eligibility requirements.

People’s Choice Award: Throughout the exhibition, Museum visitors will vote for their favorite work. The winning artist will receive the opportunity to present a solo exhibition at Coos Art Museum!

This project is funded in part through the Oregon Historical Society and under the direction of the America 250 Oregon Commission.
