Frostwood Gallery

Frostwood Gallery New England art gallery specializing in New England artists. Frostwood gallery is a venture of love for art and artists in New England.

Our MISSION is to cultivate a vibrant appreciation for New England's artistic culture by connecting art collectors with our local artists whose work authentically embodies the region's unique spirit, traditions, and inspirations, thereby fostering a sustainable and thriving artistic community and a vibrant regional art market. We value education and provide opportunities to learn for both artists

and new collectors. We teach emerging artists the value of their work, how to price their art, and their role in the New England Art Market. We take seriously our role as the intermediary between the artist and the collector with the end goal being to have incredible work on the walls of collectors who want to appreciate art.

“The Notch” by Betsy Holmes

Franconia Notch is an iconic place in New Hampshire with the shape of Mount Cannon in the background, recognizable and famous. Post-impressionistic influences like that of Cezanne can be seen in this masterful landscape painted in plein air by a stream about a quarter of a mile off a well-traveled trail. This is the ideal piece for anyone who wants a memorable piece of the White Mountains in New Hampshire hanging on their wall.

Dimensions: 24” x 24”

This piece by Anne-Marie Delaunay-Danizio will be available to see in person at her artist talk this Friday (6-8pm) at The Eleventh Letter Writing Gallery in Concord, NH. Her talk begins at 6:30pm, and there will be light refreshments available.

The creation of “Land formation” was a very recent development for the artist. It was the result of a process where she started focusing on landscapes using the same methodology as other pieces (automatic drawing with silver ink), but on a large format and with new materials.

New Direction: This piece represents a move toward landscapes in the artist’s work.

Technique: The artist continued her technique of automatic drawing using silver ink on large canvases.

Materials: This painting utilized mixed media and incorporated materials that helped create relief and texture on the surface.

Theme: The focus was on depicting a land formation, likely inspired by her trip to New Zealand where she focused on the fragility and transformation of the Earth.

$2,300.00
Dimensions: 40” × 40”

We had a fantastic turnout at our premier pop-up art show today at Kimball Jenkins in Concord, NH. We featured two artists with light refreshments and a raffle for two of Anne-Marie’s minis as well as floral arrangements to welcome spring!

Betsy intrigued us with a show ‘n’ tell of her winter plein air kit, and Anne-Marie wowed us with talk about her artistic concepts questioning life, death, gender roles, and a dollop of feminist rage.

Stay tuned for our next show, and mark your calendars to see Anne-Marie’s artist talk this Friday at The Eleventh Letter in Concord, NH! Her art will be there as well.

Thank you to the for vending!
