Today is the last day the gallery will be open to the public until the fall, so if you’ve been meaning to stop by, today is the day!

While the gallery will move to online and by-appointment-only visits for June, July, and August, 1780 House will remain open all summer long for private events, dinners, meetings, celebrations, and gatherings. Keep those inquiries coming ✨

Please note that we’re closing early today for a very exciting private event, so gallery hours will be 11:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Come say hello, browse the artwork, and enjoy one last gallery visit before summer mode begins.

Grateful to have hosted a meeting at 1780 House this week with , Interim Secretary of Transportation Phil Eng, and local officials following a site visit organized by .cataldo regarding the Concord rotary.

1780 House was created as a place for people to gather, exchange ideas, and have meaningful conversations — and we’re always honored when the space can play a small role in important discussions shaping our community.

The black & white photograph, “It’s not what you look at, but what you see” (- H.D. Thoreau) by 1780 House founder, Maeve McWhinney, has safely arrived in its new home in Back Bay, Boston. (Fun fact - this print was framed right here onsite in our framing studio at 1780 House)

The gallery is closed today to accommodate an exciting private event later today, but our full gallery is available online. Most prints by Maeve McWhinney can be done is custom sizes - so if you don’t see a size that works - just reach out.

Spring has officially sprung with this incredibly gorgeous birthday party this past weekend ✨🌙🥂

The warm weather was perfect for cocktails outside on the porch, guests mingling in the gallery with passed hors d’oeuvres and craft cocktails, followed by a seated three-course meal filled with speeches, laughter, and friends spending time together after a long winter.

With candlelight, beautiful flowers, and delicious food, it was the perfect way to ring in spring and celebrate the incredible guest of honor ✨
