- Marv Albert (Class of 1993) and Kenny Albert (Class of 2025)
- Dolph Schayes (Class of 1995) and Danny Schayes (Class of 1998)
- Daniel Bukantz (Class of 2008) and Jeff Bukantz (Class of 2024).

🏒 Congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes and Jewish General Manager, Eric Tulsky, for winning the Stanley Cup this past Sunday! Tulsky helped the Hurricanes bring its second ever Stanley Cup back to Raleigh.

Eric joined the Hurricanes organization in 2014 as a consultant and became the team's General Manager in 2024.

Mazel Tov to Eric and the Hurricanes for their hard work and dedication this season! We wish them continued success in the future.

The NBA finals continue!
The story of the New York Knicks has been told not only by legendary players and coaches, but also by the iconic voices behind the microphone.

Generations of fans experienced unforgettable Knicks moments through the broadcasts of National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame inductees with play-by-play calls, and analysis.

While many of our journalist inductees have covered the Knicks and Spurs amongst their wide range of sports reporting, several have had a predominant role in bringing the Knicks excitement into homes across New York and beyond (there is not currently any Hall of Famer that was dedicated to Spurs broadcasts).

The United States Men’s National Soccer Team kicks off its 2026 World Cup campaign this evening in Los Angeles against Paraguay. In the squad is Matt Turner, a goalkeeper and the sole Jewish player on the team, and potentially in the entire tournament.

Matt uncovered his Jewish roots when he found his paternal great-grandmother’s emigration papers from when she fled Lithuania during the Holocaust. He has discovered more about the Jewish side of his family over the years and feels increasingly connected to his Jewish background.

Matt started all the USMNT’s games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but faces stronger competition for the starting spot this year. Regardless of whether he takes the field, we will all be behind Matt and the entire team in this historic event! ⚽️

As the NBA Finals continue to bring together the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, we're now proud to recognize two National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame inductees whose coaching legacies are linked to these iconic franchises.

🏀 Red Holzman, the most successful head coach in New York Knicks history, transformed the Knicks into champions, coaching New York to its only two NBA titles in 1970 and 1973. His team-first philosophy and leadership helped define one of the greatest eras in Knicks history.

🏀 Larry Brown played a pivotal role in the growth of the Spurs during his tenure as head coach. He led San Antonio to four consecutive playoff appearances, helping establish the winning culture that would later become a hallmark of the franchise.

Brown would later take the helm of the Knicks, adding another chapter to his remarkable coaching journey, which included over 1,000 NBA victories.

Not only did our 2026 induction ceremony recognize legendary sports icons and debut our “Gloves & Grit: Jewish Boxing Legends” exhibit, we also honored and celebrated outstanding High School Jewish Athletes for their excellence in athletics, leadership, character, and commitment both on and off the field, as well as within their schools and communities. 👏

From honoring legendary champions and trailblazing athletes to sharing stories of resilience, heritage, and determination, the event was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact Jewish athletes have made across generations of sports history.

The induction of Kevin Pillar, Cletus Seldin, Yuri Foreman, Max Baer, and Max “Slapsie Maxie” Rosenbloom, along with the opening of our “Gloves & Grit: Jewish Boxing Legends” exhibit, made for a truly special celebration filled with inspiration, reflection, and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this incredible event and helped make the day so memorable.
