Our Open Door Tour: A Bite of History is TODAY!

Stops include: Upland Brewing Co., Angottis Italian Restaurant, Zaharakos, 4th Street Bar and Grill, Gramz Bakery, St. Denis, Thai Connection, and Stunna's. Plus, visitors will get an exclusive look at the newly renovated space at 207 Washington Street - built in 1880 by F.J. Crump - courtesy of Voelz, Reed, & Mount LLC, and sample treats from Cookie Paradise.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased starting at 1:30 at the Bartholomew County Historical Society Museum (524 3rd Street).

You will start your tour at the Museum where you’ll check in and receive your program and map. Our tent and table will be set up outside the west door. After that, you can visit the stops in any order that you like, though please note the tour stops will not be open until 2:00.

The Bartholomew County Historical Society invites you to attend the third Evelyn Seward Speaker Series event of 2026 on October 8th, when paranormal investigator, writer, and researcher Matthew D. Jackson presents Haunted History and Lore of Bartholomew County. Jackson will share some of the stories he has uncovered through years of research into the intersection of haunted history and unexplained experiences.

Haunted History and Lore of Bartholomew County will take place from 6:00-7:30 at Helen Haddad Hall, 315 Franklin St., Columbus, IN, 47201. Admission is FREE thanks to funding provided by the Evelyn Seward Speaker Series Endowment.
