Dear Friend of the Center:

As our community and our nation continues to live under "new normal" conditions, the Howard County Center of African American Culture continues to adapt its programs and activities. As you see in the attached flyer, our annual Men in the Kitchen on October 25, 2020 will be a virtual fellowship during which you will enjoy delicious food in your own home, and join us for a virtual program of music, fun, door prizes, and a presentation by Howard County's own professional Chef Aaron Hodge of Napa, California. Chef Hodge will present a live preparation of one of his signature dishes and include the recipe in the Keepsake cookbook that has been compiled for this year's event.

Please purchase your Eventbrite ticket(s) to the event and choose your meal(s) from Ranazul Restaurant in Maple Lawn. You can also order your copy of our Keepsake cookbook that will feature recipes, pictures, and remembrances of Men in The Kitchen through the years. For those of you who have sought copies of the landmark historic publication Seeking Freedom. we have a newly reprinted edition available for online purchase.

And remember, part of your purchase goes to support the Center's programs including community education and cultural events in the community and at Howard Community College, along with the annual Wylene Sims Burch scholarship that has been awarded through the Howard County Foundation for Black Educational and Cultural Achievement since 2012.

There will be something for everyone! Get your ticket today so you can be a part of this exciting happening. We look forward to seeing you there!!

Sincerely,

Dr. Everlene Cunningham, Ph.D.

Chair, Board of Directors
